The Sheringham Jubilee 'Big Picnic' - marking 60 years of The Queen's reign

Sheringham Town Council has launched “The Big Picnic” to celebrate our Queen’s 60 years on the throne. The event on Sunday 3rd June 2012 is expected to be the largest single event Sheringham has ever staged.

The Sheringham Jubilee 'Big Picnic' - marking 60 years of The Queen's reign

Situated on the Sports Field, we hope to start the day with a united church service in the morning, followed by musical entertainment, children’s competitions and fun activities for all the family during the afternoon. A rock concert is planned for the evening.

Sponsored by the Town Council the whole event will be free to everyone. The Town Council will provide free car parking for hundreds of cars close by and parking for blue badge holders on the field itself.

The following day, Bank Holiday Monday, a beacon will be lit on Beeston Bump to be part of a network of beacons lit all round the coast of Britain.

WE NEED SOME HELP! One of our wonderful volunteers on the day has unfortunately had to pull out. Can anyone out there spare a few hours to help organise the childrens’ events and games PLEASE…?
