Sheringham Carnival exists to promote the town of Sheringham as a holiday resort and to
donate any surplus funds to local organisations and local charities. If your organisation
or charity would like to be considered for a donation please email
firstname.lastname@example.org. We're always looking for volunteers of all ages to
support the carnival and keep Sheringham on the map and if you have any ideas for what you
would like to see next year, please come along and join the committee.
This year, some of activities planned include:
The Photography Competition - To be judged by Sheringham's own Chris
Taylor with first prize being a two hour one-on-one session with Chris himself. Cash
prizes for second and third. The theme for carnival this year is "Celebrating Great
Britain through the Ages" so pictures of anything really. The only rules are, they
must have been taken by yourself and no bigger than A3. Closing date is 15th August and
entry fee is £2 per photo.

So much more information, including the dates and times is in the carnival programme,
available from many shops in Sheringham and priced at only £1 or available from the
payment via Paypal. The programme includes a directory of Sheringham and outlying areas, a
FREE carnival programme quiz (all the answers are in the programme so you can do it from
the comfort of your armchair!) with a £50 cash prize sponsored by Hanover Housing and
four free mindbenders with cash prizes. We apologise for having to charge for the
programme but, as you can imagine, the cost of putting on a carnival is immense -
insurance, printing, entertainers must be paid, etc. Our only income is from local trader
sponsorship and from the sale of quiz sheets, raffle tickets, programmes and ticketed
events. We do not have any sponsorship from lottery heritage funds or supermarkets.
