The Frock Spot
An empty shop is now occupied again on St Benedict’s Street in Norwich. After being empty for over a year number 56 is now open for business – The Frock Spot.
Owned and run by Amy Nichols (20 years old), The Frock Spot provides wedding dresses, bridesmaid and occasion dresses, prom dresses and party dresses. They stock bridal wear from brands such as Tara Keely, LouLou, D’Zage and Grace Harrington starting from £700. For your perfect party look there is a range of sequin dresses, bodycon velvets and classic skater styles from brands such as Motel Rocks. These are also available to buy online at www.thefrockspot.co.uk
Amy wanted to prove that shopping on the high street is still a necessity and we do require the personal touch. With an eclectic mix of independent café’s, restaurants and shops in St Benedict’s already, The Frock Spot fits right in.
Their dresses bring something different to Norwich, and one of the specialities at The Frock Spot is vintage style wedding dresses from the brand LouLou. LouLou specialise in making wedding dresses with a 1950’s vintage look - think nipped in waists and full 50’s length skirts with modern detailing. The Frock Spot is the only retailer in Norfolk for this brand. Another of The Frock Spot’s specialities is the full ‘Cinderella’ style wedding gowns. There are some truly stunning dresses from designers such as Grace Harrington and Tara Keely, these dresses will truly make you a princess for the day.
A split level downstairs and an upstairs changing area there is a retro feel, and the overall effect is a simple, clean and relaxing atmosphere to choose your dress.
Open Monday – Saturday you can either drop in at leisure or make an appointment. They also offer VIP appointments on a Sunday and on a Thursday evening.
So pay The Frock Spot a visit today, but ‘be prepared it only takes a
minute to fall in love and become frocked up’.
