We hope that everyone enjoyed Sheringham Carnival 2015 and would appreciate any feedback on where you think we could have done better. The committee had a great time and the weather was glorious all week. Taking part with the Viking Boat at Cromer Carnival Parade was good fun and it was great to see many Sheringham floats there! Congratulations to the Dunstable Arms for not only winning their class in the Cromer Carnival Parade but taking the Best in Parade cup as well!! And congratulations to the Tug of War Team for winning the Inter-Carnival Mark Harris Memorial Shield for the second year running! Thank you to everyone who supported the Carnival. Go Sheringham!

On September 4th there will be a Model T –Ford display in the High Street.
We have two opportunities to enjoy a slideshow and talk, entitled Breaking The Tunny Fish Codes, which is an amazing account of how Bletchley Park cracked the teleprinter codes which Hitler used to communicate with his generals. No other single event in WW2 contributed so much to changing the course of the war and we only became aware of this when it was declassified in 2001 and presented as a BBC Documentary in 2011. Tickets are available for Saturday 12th September St Joseph’s Church Hall at 3pm (own car park) and Saturday 19th September at The Wind Farm Room, The Mo Museum at 5.30pm. Please call 01263 823546 for a ticket which costs £5.
