Holt schoolgirl returns to town to open new business partnership.
When Henrietta Gillam was a pupil at Gresham’s School , Holt, Norfolk it never occurred to her that years later she would return to the town and open a business. Now Henrietta and her business partner Claire Parker have opened an opticians Parker and Gillam, 4-6 Shirehall Plain, Holt, Norfolk, NR25 6HT.
Henrietta is a qualified dispensing optician and gained her degree from Anglia Ruskin University in 2011 having begun dispensing in 2008. She spent two years working for a prestigious London optician. Having used every lens make on the market her knowledge is vast.
Henrietta’s business partner Claire Parker is a third generation optometrist and graduated from Manchester University in 2001. She trained and gained a wealth of experience with various opticians. In 2005 she joined her family business Parker Optometrists, Downham Market, which was started by her grandfather and in which her grandmother, father and mother worked. She is now the sole owner.
The shop will provide NHS and private eye tests and stocks a large range of spectacles, sunglasses and contact lenses for adults and children. The shop is on the ground floor of the premises and has full disabled access. Brands including Oliver Goldsmith, Bvlgari, Porsche, Miu, Miu, Kurt Geiger and Rayban are amongst those that Parker and Gillam stock.
