Sheringham Carnival Beach Party August 2016

Want to make some new friends?

The Sheringham area has a new friendship group aimed at the over 50’s.

Called Recycled Teenagers, the new group aims to include trips to the theatre/cinema, local events, walks, visits to places of interest, pub lunches and more.

The club started in October with an inaugural meeting held at the Morley Club, Cromer Road, welcoming 50 people who arrived to see what was on offer. Since then, two further meetings have taken place with the same amount of interest.

Jennie Thompson, one of two women who set up the group, has already appeared on local radio talking about the group and encouraging people to come and join them.

Both Jennie and her friend Anne saw an opening in the area for the new group, one that would cater for all over 50’s looking to make new friends.

Jennie said, “The aim of the group is for people to participate in the events put together by us, and also get involved in hosting their own events with the help from the group if needed. The group plan is to have fun and laughter in whatever we do, to form long and lasting friendships along the way and eliminate going it alone”.

Recycled Teenagers meets at the Morley Club, Cromer Road (next to Coastal Garage) on the first Tuesday of the month at 7.00pm. Anyone who would like further information on the group can contact Jennie on 01263 479853 or email: recycled.teenagers@mail.com
