New club for North Norfolk cake lovers

The world-famous Clandestine Cake Club is coming to North Norfolk.

Founded in Leeds in 2010 by Lynn Hill, the Clandestine Cake Club has grown to 174 clubs (at the last count). Today you can bake, talk and eat cake with CCC in locations as far flung as Barcelona, Ohio and Okinawa. Or you can stay closer to home with the existing Norfolk clubs in Norwich and Downham Market.
The new North Norfolk club will be based around the Cromer/Sheringham/Holt areas and the first meeting will be on Saturday 18 February in Holt. The “clandestine” part of the Clandestine Cake Club means that venue details won’t be released until a few days before the meeting—and only to those who have signed up to attend.

Club rules are simple: the organisers will set a theme for the event. Bakers (and their guests) arrive with their cakes and everyone gets stuck in. What a great way to make new friends! The one non-negotiable rule is that CCC is a cake club, so bakers must bring a whole cake—no cupcakes, scones, brownies, muffins, pies or tarts.
