Norman Lamb MP joins local lung patients for launch of new Breathe Easy support group

On Wednesday 20th August Breathe Easy North Norfolk, a new support group for all those affected by lung disease, will be launched at Bodham Village Hall at 2pm.

The launch of the group will be attended by Norman Lamb MP, as well as representatives from the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital such as Dr Simon Watkin respiratory specialist and Dr Daryl Freeman.  Started by patients and healthcare professionals at the Kelling Hospital, the group will offer support, advice, information and a chance to meet people in a similar situation. It is open to all those affected by lung diseases such as COPD, bronchiectasis and asthma.

Victor Gardner, Chairman of the new group says “It’s great to have a local support group for people with lung conditions. I’m so pleased that there have been enough people interested to launch this group. We welcome new members, so please do come along if you are affected by a lung condition and get involved in our meetings, outings, social and awareness events”.

Breathe Easy North Norfolk is just one of over 220 groups across the country, which are all part of the British Lung Foundation’s support network ‘Breathe Easy’.

Emu Oil

Where Does Emu Oil Come from? (Cont)

Benefits Emu oil and improvement in skin conditions were documented by Dr George HOBDAY MD, from Brentwood, Western Australia; who conducted the first recorded Australian Emu Oil trials. His clinical experiences observed the following Australian Emu Oil benefits in these and other conditions:

POTENTIAL BENEFITS EMU OIL
· You and those you love can enjoy pain relief from sore muscles and joints
· Fibromyalgia, back pain, arthritis pain relief without drugs
· Moisturize your skin, fade age spots with emu oil creams, lotions
· Apply to help burns heal quickly and to reduce scarring
· Treat rashes, psoriasis, eczema, insect bites, fire ant stings, diaper rash
· Your hair can be silky and shiny and reduce hair thinning and encourage regrowth
· Emu Oil can help lower your cholesterol

ECZEMA Eczema or atopic dermatitis can occur in infants, children or adults. In many cases there is a family history of allergies, asthma, psoriasis etc. Eczema lesions appear in several different forms: weeping sores, dry scaly patches or chronic thickened areas. Eczema sufferers often complain that moisturisers available on the market irritate the skin. Recent reports indicate benefits of emu oil include significant reductions of irritation and inflammation of the skin. Emu oil makes an excellent follow-up to steroid treatment and has been developed into an Eczema Cream.

PSORIASIS Emu Oil for Psoriasis makes use of Emu Oil’s natural properties of anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and analgesia which help to reduce the scaly appearance and itching of Psoriasis. Benefits Emu Oil application also include the natural regeneration of skin cells in a normal growth pattern.

ACNE Acne is an inflammatory skin condition characterised by superficial skin eruptions caused by plugging of the pores. Acne can occur on any part of the body, although the face and shoulders are the most common locations. Using the mild soap free body wash with warm water (not hot - it can further irritate the skin) will remove all the dirt and make-up but will also prevent pore blocking because it is non-comedogenic. Emu Oil acts as an anti-inflammatory, reducing the irritation and itchiness commonly caused by acne and eczema and psoriasis lesions. Benefits Emu oil use - the anti-bacterial agent naturally found in Emu Oil, when combined with proper skin care, will help decrease the chances of infection, promotion of healing and prevention of scarring.
